The Role
We’re looking for an Ecommerce Trading Manager to lead the commercial performance of our online business — driving sales growth, profitability, and best-in-class customer experience. This is a hands-on and strategic role, responsible for forecasting, budgeting, and buying/merchandising across DTC and collaborations, as well as managing trade calendars, launches, and digital campaigns across ecommerce, CRM, and paid marketing.
Commercial Ownership & Financials
- • Own ecommerce trading performance and reporting, driving top-line growth and profitability across all digital channels.
- • Build and manage top-down and bottom-up forecasts, demand plans, and budgets to deliver against revenue and margin targets.
- • Manage the ecommerce OTB budget, placing seasonal and in-season buys for Aries, No Problemo, and all collaborations.
- • Monitor performance against budget and forecast, providing insight and recommendations.
Trading & Merchandising
- • Plan and execute the ecommerce trading calendar across launches, capsules, and campaigns.
- • Oversee daily and weekly site updates i.e. homepage banners, PLP/PDP updates, focus pages, and onsite copy, ensuring launches and commercial priorities are reflected.
- • Manage newsletter planning, aligning storytelling and features with trade priorities and marketing pushes.
- • Optimise site merchandising, assortment, and product sequencing to maximise conversion and sell-through.
- • Track key ecommerce KPIs (traffic, conversion, AOV, revenue) and take data-led action to improve performance. Marketing & Performance Partner with the marketing team to ensure alignment of email, site, and social activations with commercial objectives.
- • Brief and review newsletters and digital content with the Ecommerce Coordinator / Animator and Digital Creative Director.
- • Work closely with the paid media agency to optimise ad spend, ensuring creative and commercial priorities are met.
- • Analyse channel performance (email, paid, organic, social) to drive ROI and ensure marketing remains revenue-focused.
Operations & Logistics
- • Collaborate with the Ecommerce Fulfilment & Customer Service Manager to ensure stock allocation and deliveries meet seasonal and collaboration timelines.
- • Take part in stock, delivery, and logistics meetings to define deadlines for product availability.
- • Partner with the Digital Creative Director on platform improvements, UX/UI updates, and ecommerce logistics systems.
- • Maintain strong cross-departmental communication between buying, logistics, fulfilment, and customer service.
Skills & Experience
- • 4+ years’ experience in ecommerce trading and buying and merchandising, with direct exposure to buying and demand planning.
- • Strong commercial and financial acumen, with proven success in managing forecasts, budgets, and OTB.
- • Hands-on experience with ecommerce CMS platforms (Shopify essential), including homepage and PLP management.
- • Experience working with or managing paid performance agencies; confident analysing ROAS and ad-driven revenue.
- • Demonstrated success in driving ecommerce growth and improving profitability. Strong understanding of ecommerce operations, logistics, and customer service workflows.
- • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- • Strategic mindset with a hands-on approach suited to a lean, fast-paced team.
